JMB Partners

JMB Partners is named in honor of my father, James M. Bryan, Jr. (Jimmy).  He and his brothers started an excavation company, after the passing of their father, a farmer on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.  The company grew rapidly, employing hard working local men just out of high school, many of whom are still there today.  As kids, my cousins and I were often at the company offices, both before and after school, dropping in on the daily operations, and very often put to work by our fathers, doing things like cleaning the offices, or pulling weeds in the driveways and flower beds.  While we may not have liked it much then, we now understand what our fathers were doing.

I unexpectedly lost my dad in 2003.  Not long after, I decided to follow my dream of moving to Colorado, and chose to transition from my career in the family construction business.  Accounting turned out to be the ideal fit for my meticulous and methodical thinking.  I became a licensed CPA in Colorado, and gained valuable experience in industry, working in construction and real estate development, as well as in public accounting.   

Having the entrepreneurial spirit which was so prevalent in my blood, I knew that I must forge my own path.  Starting JMB Partners, with the goal of focusing primarily on working with small, growing construction companies, perfectly combines my passions of developing strong local relationships, and helping small businesses achieve growth, success, and their own dreams and goals.
